MEDIA

Influence Analyser is content agnostic and so not bound by any particular media or source type. While the majority of our work utilizes a combination of social and traditional media formats, we have also applied the process to many other types and sources of information including; financial analyst reports, survey data, patent data, management databases, public and private databases. Influence Analyser can focus on single information sources, or be comparative, such as print media versus online.

We work globally and have conducted studies in 14 languages. Through partners we have unrivalled access to traditional print archives and our team strives to add new and developing media as they come into the mainstream. We frequently work with clients as required to include speciality titles and trade publications outside mainstream press.

Traditional Print Media:
Our principle media repository provides an archive of 30,000 titles in 22 languages, with some title archives going back as far as 20 years. This source book covers a comprehensive selection of major news and business publications (newspapers and magazines) as well as deep industry specific titles for Pharma/Healthcare, Energy, Technology and Consumer/Lifestyle. Usually, however, we employ multiple sources of content to provide the widest possible range of titles and program-specific media tracking lists. In addition we can also include client provided coverage where required.

Websites:
Commetric works with leading website aggregator Moreover, to provide access to a vast array of breaking news, business information and other website-based content. We have access to over 31,000-plus sites spanning 800 industries and special interest groups, 100-plus countries, and 50 languages. We can also supplement this using proprietary web crawlers as required. Web content may be processed in real time for monitoring and alerting purposes and we can include subscription website content by request.

Blogs:
A fast growing segment of our work includes blog content. Commetric uses an archive of over 200,000 editorially selected blogs as a core content set. We can also supplement this core archive with our own spider technologies that leverage established open source search engines.

Twitter:
We apply our Influence Analyser processes to microblogs via Twitter data.  Studies on Twitter include both the individual Tweets and any linked information, such as media articles or blogs.

Other Types Content:
In addition to our core media and information types, Commetric has also applied our proprietary natural language search based influencer methodology to:

  • Survey data
  • Analyst reports
  • Management databases
  • Information collected from social networking sites
  • Internal company information and databases (including email)
  • Academic databases
  • Patent information and databases
  • Political/Parliamentary records
